Farewell to Insights: ASP’s Analytics Tool to Be Retired on 1 July 2025

Insights tracking module will be shut down on 1st July 2025.
This feature, available within the ASP ShowOff platform, provides basic visitor data.
While Insights was originally developed to offer a simple, built-in analytics solution, we’ve seen very low adoption across our client base, with the vast majority now using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) as their primary analytics platform.
Why We’re Retiring Insights
After reviewing usage and performance, we’ve made the decision to retire Insights for two key reasons:

Low Usage: Most clients now prefer the advanced capabilities and integrations of Google Analytics 4. Less than 5% of ASP websites currently use Insights.

Limited Accuracy: Insights does not reflect modern website usage as accurately as GA4. It is more affected by ad blockers, and lacks the enhanced tracking, attribution, and event flexibility provided by GA4.
By focusing our efforts on supporting GA4, we can better help clients take full advantage of richer analytics and more reliable data for year-round optimisation.
What This Means for You

Insights will be turned off on 1st July 2025.

Your existing data will remain fully accessible within your Insights dashboard until 30th June 2025.

If you're already using GA4, there's no need to export your Insights data — GA4 provides more accurate and useful analytics.

If you are not yet on GA4 and feel it would be helpful to keep a backup of your Insights history, you can request a data export. Please speak to your Account Manager before 30th June 2025 if you'd like this arranged.
Next Step: Move to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

To help ease the transition, ASP will also be offering a paid service to set up a simple GA4 dashboard that sits in the same location where Insights currently appears within the ASP ShowOff CMS.
This will provide you with easy access to your most important analytics, without needing to log into the GA4 interface directly.
